My first generation PC rig

Entering the Internet Cafe business is serious business. The investment will really cost you an arm and a leg so a balance must be struck when selecting the components for the station PCs. The balance is between performance and cost.

Here are my requirements:

- The total PC hardware must fit in an Php 18k-20k window.

- It must have a mid-range processor and decent graphics to handle the most popular games today yet still capable of giving a mileage of at least 3 years.

After toying around with a lot of combinations from PC parts vendors, the winner for this generation of PCs (10 sets) is:

Processor: AMD 64 X2 7850 (2.8 Ghz, 3MB cache)
Mobo: ECS A780GM-A
Memory: 2GB DDR2-800
Hard Drive: Seagate 320GB, 7200 rpm
Video Card: Inno3D 9600 GT, 512MB DDR3, 256-bit HDMI
Monitor: Hanns-G 17" widescreen

Up next: What made me choose this setup?
